Constipation is very uncomfortable and sometimes painful. It can be annoying and cause one to spend a great amount of time on the toilet. Constipation in spite of its unpleasant feeling is a prevalent gastro-intestinal disorder and the cause of it is varied. Some most common causes are, having a diet low in carbohydrates which provide fiber to aid proper bowel movement, drinking less water, lack of exercise and as well as taking certain medication. However, it can be diminished by eating the right choice of food, drinking enough water e.g,6-8 glasses of water per day, and changing lifestyle from inactive to active with exercise predominantly walking or running.
Here’s a list of some foods which is best for eliminating constipation: Tubal vegetables- potatoes, sweet potatoes, cassava and etc
Legumes- black-eyed peas, lentil, pigeon peas, chick peas, pink beans and pinto.
Grains- wheat germ and bran, oatmeal, brown rice and quinoa.
Vegetables- carrots, pak choi, carbage and broccoli.
Fruits- apples, cucumbers, mangoes, bananas, watermelon, sour-sops, prunes and berries
These all aid in proper bowel movement when taken in rightful portion and with adequate water and exercise, constipation will have no other choice but to cease!
