I totally agree. I bought a treadmill so I have no excuse not to have a walk every day regardless of the weather. The only thing that does sometimes stop me is pain in my back caused by my scoliosis.
You should check out the story of Lamar Gant for some inspiration coming from another who suffered scoliosis. Mr Gant was a world record powerlifter desite his scoliosis. As a powerlifter myself, who suffered a severe spinal injury almost 10 years ago, Mr Gant was my inspiration to return to the sport.
Weight training may or may not be your thing, but his story is quite inspiring in regards to an individual overcoming bad odds because of his condition.
Thanks David, I did check out the inspiring story of Lamar Gant. I have been advised against lifting any type of weights. The recommendation for me is walking, hydrotherapy, stretching exercises. I maintain a positive attitude and don’t let it get the better of me even on bad days when the pain is 10/10.
True, and sitting is…boring. It occupies, surely, over 90% of our waking hours. Whether we’re at the office, driving, watching TV, whatever, it’s always the same thing. Perhaps we may contrive something that’s not as common. Keep life interesting!

I would personally never recommend heavy lifting with Scoliosis. I was inspired by your writing.
I know all about pain on a 10/10 level too. I suffered a bad spinal injury in 2009 where it took me a year to learn to walk normal again.
